Wow, virtualization tech has come a long way since the last time I’ve looked into it. I’ve been evaluating KVM for a few days, and I’ve been pretty impressed so far. It’s dead simple to install (yum install a few packages), and everything “just works” with some sane defaults. Last time I looked into things like this, they all had a very complex setup process. I was up and running with KVM in under an hour.

I’ll definitely be looking into using this more, even if the project I was evaluating it for doesn’t pan out. The benefits are just too great to ignore it.
